Parker Trent
LA-BASED Musician, Educator, Band Leader and Venue owner
Parker Trent is a multi facetted instrumentalist, composer and band leader, authentically playing in many styles, including: Jazz, Classical Percussion, Hip hop, R&B, Rock, Metal, Country, and World Musics. He has performed under the Direction of acclaimed artists such as: Ceicil Bridgewater, Darcy James Argue, The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, and Ingrid Jensen. As well as toured with the band Sad Park. Parker has performed with many different theatre Companies doubling percussion and drum set, has extensive experience recording, playing in his own venue Studio B in Sherman Oaks, CA with some of the most amazing young musicians on the scene today, as well as leading groups of his own. His playing has been described as “Tasteful and Dynamic, with a high technical ceiling”
Before leaving Los Angeles to study at the New School in New York, Parker Trent, studied the Ins and outs of Studio Musicianship under the Mentorship of Gregg Bisonette, where he mastered Sight-reading as well and playing multitudes of styles authentically in order to create a quickness and ease of work flow for production teams. After being admitted to the New school on Scholarship Parker spent his time honing his skills in the fast paced and competitive scene of New York, cutting records, playing in musicals and accompanying artists live. After Graduating Cum Laude, Parker Moved back to Los Angeles.
